This year, The PRactice takes on a new Head Advisor, Kerry Christopher.

Kerry Christopher is a lecturer for The Ohio State University at the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. He is passionate about the field of communication and currently teaches the PRactice Experience course and serves as an advisor to students who are active in The Practice. He previously taught Writing for Strategic Communications. Before OSU, Kerry had experience teaching communications at the master’s level for both Kent State University and Bowling Green University.
His full-time job is with Cardinal Health where he serves as the vice president of communications for the Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions Segment. Kerry leads a team of communications professionals responsible for providing all external and internal communications for the company.
Prior to Cardinal Health, Kerry was director of communications for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan, and has held numerous positions including media relations in Washington, D.C. during GM’s bankruptcy crisis, overseeing PR for Cadillac, leading communications for manufacturing, labor relations, HR, and has supported numerous senior VPs and CEOs.
Kerry started his communications career with the PR firm Sandy Corporation in Troy, MI, where he learned to develop client relationships, earn new business and deliver results for customers that included GM, Ford and Harley-Davidson.
Additional career experiences include director of communications for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, product communications for Volkswagen and communications manager for Hyundai where he was responsible for launching the Korean company’s first U.S. assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
Kerry currently lives in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife Desiree and three kids who are still at home going to high school. Kerry and Desiree have been married 30 years and have seven children. Kerry enjoys camping and riding his motorcycle.
