Many people may agree that change can be difficult. It takes time to adjust to new places, new people, and new experiences. When first arriving at school, it may seem overwhelming and you may feel helpless trying to balance classes, social life, and everything in between. For each day to be a success, it is important to figure out what type of routine works best for you and what you want to incorporate.
Making Your Bed

The key to having a great day is to start it off on the right note. Making your bed as soon as you wake up can make such a difference, giving your day a great, productive start. Rather than leaving your bed a mess to clean up later, you may as well make it right away and feel like you have already accomplished something for the day.
Freshening Up

Freshen up for the day and take some time in the morning for personal hygiene! Put on the perfect outfit to keep you comfortable whether you’re walking outside or sitting in class. Wearing an outfit that you love will truly enhance your day and help you feel put together.
Spending Time Outdoors

Be sure to spend some time outside throughout your day! Physical activity is super important in order to keep the mind and body healthy. Even something so simple as sunlight can boost your energy and mood! Whether this is taking a walk around campus or going to the gym, this is an essential part of a good routine.
Staying Well-Balanced

Finding the perfect balance between work and fun is crucial, but it is important that school is your main priority! It is important to go to all of your classes and get your schoolwork done to your best ability before you do anything else. Staying well-balanced is very rewarding especially when you get to spend time with those you love after a long week.
Getting a Good Nights Rest

To get the most out of each and every day, getting a good amount of sleep is key. Being fully rested leads to having more energy which will overall enhance your day. Sleep can also be very beneficial in the long term for your mental health and mood. Make sure to manage your time wisely so you can get everything done for each day and have time to rest and sleep.
Eating Nutritious Meals

One of the most important parts of a routine is eating a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food is the best possible thing to fuel your body and each time you skip a meal, it is impactful to your health. Before you leave for class each day, be sure to eat an adequate meal to keep you going.
Staying Consistent
In order to figure out what type of routine works best for you and what aspects make your days better, the number one thing you can do is stay consistent. Just like everyone says, consistency is key. Staying consistent with your routine will help you get used to it and adapt to what each day looks like for you!
