Top 5 Story Games to Immerse Yourself in After-School

After a long day at school, there’s nothing better than jumping on a video game with a

great story. If you’re looking for some amazing narratives that will keep you hooked, 

check out these five games that are my personal favorites. Each of these games offer 

a unique experience that’ll make you forget about the stress of school for a while.

1. “The Last of Us”

In The Last of Us, you play as two characters; Joel and Ellie. Set in a world taken over 

by zombies after a disease has wiped out most of humanity, players have to navigate 

the apocalyptic world. This game is all about survival, but it’s really about the bond 

between the two characters, Joel and Ellie. Their journey is very emotional and full of 

tough choices that will stick with you. The gameplay is intense, and the story will 

keep you on the edge of your seat.

2. “Detroit: Become Human”

Detroit: Become Human, takes you to a future where androids (robots) live alongside 

humans. You get to control three different androids; Connor, Kara, and 

Markus. Decisions in this game are very important as everything you choose will 

impact your androids lives and the entirety of the world around them. The game 

makes you think about what it means to be human and the choices you make. With so 

many different paths and endings, you’ll want to play it multiple times to see the 

variety of outcomes.

3. “Life is Strange”

In Life is Strange, you’ll play as Max, a teenager who discovers she can rewind time. 

This ability lets her change major events and find out dirty secrets about her friends 

and family. The story is all about friendships, mental health, and the impact of 

choices. It’s super relatable and emotional, and the visuals and music make it even 

more special. Perfect for a chill night!

4. “Hitman 3”

In Hitman 3, you play as Agent 47, who is a skilled assassin on a mission around the 

world. Each level is like a mini-movie, where you can choose how to take out your 

targets. The game is all about planning and strategy, and you can approach each 

mission in many different ways. The storytelling is very clever, and you’ll feel like a 

true spy as you sneak around and figure out the best way to get the job done.

5. “Silent Hill 2”

Silent Hill 2 is a classic horror game that is all about that psychological scare. You 

play as James, You play as James, a widower searching for his deceased wife in the 

creepy town of Silent Hill. The atmosphere is dark and unsettling, with disturbing 

monsters and eerie sounds. The story dives deep into themes of guilt and loss, making 

it a haunting experience that you won’t forget.

These five games are perfect to immerse yourself in and don’t be surprised if  you find
